Location:The mill is within 45 minutes by road from Inverness, Dingwall and Beauly, three hours from Edinburgh and three and a half hours from Glasgow. It lies half a mile from the village of Ardgay by Bonar Bridge on the South bank of the River Carron in farmland. The mill is a split-level building set in an acre of wooded gardens with a three acre field, overlooking the river to the north and open fields to the south and was renovated in 1996 to an exceptional standard. The building is heated by oil-fired central heating throughout. Sleeping accommodation is for 6 in two double and two twin beds although the morning room includes a futon for occasional additional accommodation. The building is furnished to a very high standard. All facilities are available including telephone, video, satellite television, Hi-fi system, books games, video library etc. A fax and laser printer can be made available. All the original milling equipment remains in the building together with the mill wheel outside, although the water supply no longer passes along the mill lade and the equipment is therefore immobilised and safe. It is also protected by tensioned wiring. The owners have young children and the mill was made as safe as possible in the renovation. However, it is not suitable for young children left unsupervised.
Rates: From £360 low season to £800 high season. Normal bookings Saturday to Saturday.
